I am 24 and I haven't drawn in...goodness, years.
I have a webcomic project I have been writing for and advertising, but my artist is not working anymore, they were fine one day, seemingly gone the day after we had are "release party"... and now I have a few thousand dollars worth of product, some of which was given out, and my artist has gone AWOL...
I have a few other artists willing to take over, but I realize it is time for me to stop always relying on others... so what I want to do is learn to draw so I can do the webcomic myself. I am aware of many books and guides to learn, but hope I will learn faster with actual instruction. When I look at "how to" books, I'm always left wondering why my finished piece doesn't look the same, or how to create my own characters.
I am an absolute newbie. I was never taught how to draw anything.
Thus, I am seeking private lessons, and I do not care about the age of my instructor. I hope to progress quickly, and will practice at least 1 hour a day, every day! I can even give examples of the style I wish to emulate, I just need help figuring out how to make things appear on paper that actually look good.
I would love to join an "improvement group" as well, if there are any out there!
